Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel Celebrates Lunar New Year

Usher in the Year of the Tiger at the newly expanded luxury resort and casino - celebrating with festive decorations, lion dance performances, $200,000 in prize drawings and dining specials

Highland, Calif. (January 28, 2022) – Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel (formerly San Manuel Casino) announced today a Lunar New Year celebration including festive decorations honoring tradition, lion dance performances to bring good luck and fortune, multiple drawings for cash and prizes, as well as dining specials at Hong Bao Kitchen and Serrano Buffet.

“Lunar New Year is a special occasion for many of our Yaamava’ Resort and Casino team members and guests,” said Peter Arceo, General Manager at Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at San Manuel. “To celebrate the year of the tiger, we will feature custom décor throughout the property, as well as popular Asian inspired dishes, entertainment and frequent opportunities to win cash and prizes!”

Yaamava’s Lunar New Year celebration will commence with festive decorations honoring the annual Asian tradition. Throughout the resort and casino guests will see numerous bonsai tree displays symbolizing harmony and luck, and tiger-themed displays for courage.

Yaamava’ will continue its Lunar New Year celebration on Feb. 1 with a traditional lion dancers performing on the casino floor from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Club Serrano members will have a chance to win a share of $200,000 in prizes during a three-day Lunar New Year drawing. Drawings will take place every hour on February 4, 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Aces Bar located on the first floor of the casino. Each day two lucky winners will take home a cash prize of $8,888 and three winners will play a Mahjong game for a chance to win free play. Rounding out the celebration will be a specialty menu from Yaamava’s award-winning culinary team at Hong Bao Kitchen to mark the Year of the Tiger. Serving up a modern twist on traditional Asian dishes, Hong Bao’s Lunar New Year dining specials will be available for one day only – on Tuesday, February 1 from noon until 1 a.m. – and include dishes such as Northeast Pork Dumpling, Steamed Chilean Sea Bass with Garlic Chili Pickles Sauce and Mo Mo Cha Cha.

The Serrano Buffet will commemorate Lunar New Year by offering specialty dishes for one day only on Tuesday, February 1. In addition to guest-favorite Serrano Buffet dishes, the culinary team is planning to serve Asian-inspired dishes like Steamed Whole Fish and Hong Kong Style Lobster from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.
