Behind the Scenes with Jeffrey Linton 

Jeffrey Linton, senior manager of production, provided an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the meticulous process of show preparation to “Y Report” writers. From supporting artists and performers in both mainstream and multicultural productions to working closely with various departments at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino, Linton ensures that every detail is flawlessly executed. With the theater’s cutting-edge equipment, his team delivers exceptional sound and visuals that enhance the entire experience. Linton highlights that one of Yaamava' Theater’s greatest strengths is its advanced technology, specifically designed to effortlessly accommodate large-scale shows and high-profile artists.  

“Everything is set for a seamless experience—all they need to do is plug and play,” Linton said. 

Bringing the Artist to the Venue 

During our interview, Linton explained that a key aspect of his role is advancing the show by strategically communicating with the artist and their team. From announcements to on-sale dates, he emphasized that clear communication is essential in ensuring the artist’s needs are met well in advance of their performance at Yaamava’ Theater. The real magic, he notes, happens through close collaboration between the production and operations teams.  

“The theater is the flagship of the entertainment department, which itself is a vital part of the marketing department. Ultimately, we are a marketing tool.”  

Linton highlighted that teamwork across departments is essential not only for the success of the show but also for enhancing the guest experience. 

Providing Guests the Best Experience  

"Our goal is to give people a reason to stay or return, which is why we're constantly searching for top-tier talent to bring to our guests," said Linton.  

From world-renowned artists like Mariah Carey, Ed Sheeran, The Jonas Brothers, Andrea Bocelli, Stevie Nicks, and many more, Yaamava' Theater consistently delivers unforgettable performances.

We had the opportunity to ask Linton about the future of Yaamava’ Theater and what guests can look forward to. He empsized that the primary goal is to continually enhance the guest experience from the moment they enter the theater to the moment they leave.  

“We don’t want people to feel like the night ends when they leave the theater—we want them to feel like the night is just beginning,” Linton shared.  

By collaborating closely with other departments within the resort and casino, the aim is to ensure that guests can further enrich their overall experience in other areas of the property.
