Do you remember where you were in 1986? As we commemorate 38 years, we can't help but marvel at the growth, achievements, and opportunities that have shaped our journey. Join us as we take a stroll down memory lane.

The Journey Begins

Yaamava Resort & Casino at San Manuel has evolved into a premier destination in California, marked by continuous expansion. To understand this journey, we must start at the beginning. The year is 1986, and the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians had just invested in a high-stakes bingo operation, originally known as San Manuel Indian Bingo. Imagine standing where Yaamava’ Resort & Casino stands today, waiting not for a slot machine jackpot, but to complete your bingo card and shout "bingo!" Despite what you might think, the bingo hall was bustling with visitors from all over, each hoping to strike it lucky—a humble yet promising start to something monumental.

Years of Growth

Over the years, our vision expanded, challenging the landscape of gambling in California. In the year 2000, Proposition 1A, supported by 65 percent of California voters, changed the state of the constitution to allow Indian Tribes to operate limited casino-style gaming on Tribal lands. This pivotal moment paved the way for the grand opening of San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in 2005, laying the foundation for the iconic casino we know today.

Continued Innovation

Have you experienced the thrill of our Rockin' Casino area? Seven years ago, this space transformed from a bingo hall into a haven for slot machines and rock enthusiasts alike. With an innovative team dedicated to future growth, our casino continually exceeded expectations. In 2021, San Manuel Indian Casino rebranded as Yaamava’, unveiling a luxurious resort featuring 432 rooms and a stunning 17-story hotel tower—a place where you can now stay and indulge in experiences once only found in Las Vegas. Except our reach extended to Vegas itself with the 2021 acquisition of the Palms Casino Resort, offering Club Serrano members a gateway to more excitement beyond our original location. We were now your California to Vegas connection as you know it today. 

Beyond Expectations

While our footprint extended beyond California, Yaamava’ itself underwent remarkable enhancements. Whether you’re relaxing on our elevated pool deck, indulging in a blissful spa treatment, or attending a world-class show at Yaamava' Theater, there was now something for everyone. Our fine dining expanded with Serrano Vista Café and there were now more opportunities to unwind with the additions of bars and lounges —Aces, Deuces, and Overlook. We couldn’t forget to add a variety of luxury shopping at HIS, HERS, and CACHE & CARRY, along with two brand-new floors of expanded gaming space.
