Read on to get an insider's look at the celebration and find out how you can join us for one more epic event!
Pop The Champagne
The Dodgers had a season to remember, overcoming obstacles, showcasing unexpected heroes, and breaking records. Injuries throughout their pitching rotation tested the team early on, but players who stepped out from the shadows proved they were more than ready. Then, of course, there was Shohei Ohtani’s historic 50-50 season—an achievement baseball might never see again.
The playoffs were intense. The Dodgers took on division rivals, the San Diego Padres, in a nail-biting series before facing the New York Mets in the NLCS. The Mets seemed poised for a fairytale season, but the Dodgers shut down their hopes, punching their ticket into the World Series. Fans couldn’t have dreamed up a better matchup: Dodgers versus Yankees, East Coast versus West Coast, in a showdown for the ages. The New York Yankees gave it their all, but the Dodgers were unstoppable, bringing home the championship.
Welcome to the Parade
With the champions crowned on Wednesday, October 30, L.A. geared up for the big parade just two days later, on Friday, November 1. The streets overflowed with fans, confetti filled the air, and Dodger Stadium hosted the biggest party of the year.
As the Official California Casino Partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Yaamava' joined the festivities in a big way. We couldn’t leave our Club Serrano members out of the fun, so we gave two lucky winners a pair of tickets to the celebration. Meanwhile fans throughout the city watched a victory parade with their favorite players passing by in flashy Yaamava’ branded buses. Stars like Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman waved to fans as they made their way back to Dodger Stadium. When they reached the stadium, players’ families were greeted with special Yaamava’-branded bags filled with Dodgers swag, including a t-shirt, license plate frame, and hat. The energy was electric as players arrived to the sound of cheers and epic beats. It was a celebration like no other.
A City of Stars
The stars were out in full force. Actors Edward James Olmos and Anthony Anderson revved up the crowd with inspiring words before a West Coast legend took the stage. Fresh off an epic performance at Yaamava’ Theater, Ice Cube brought his iconic hip-hop hits to Dodger Stadium, filling the air with “Bow Down” and “It Was a Good Day.” Dodgers’ alumni and co-owner Magic Johnson was there, too, making the celebration truly special. Players like Clayton Kershaw and Kiké Hernandez raised the trophy high, sharing emotional speeches with L.A., before joining their families on the field for a heartfelt moment at the place where it all began.
