For 25 years, the San Manuel Golf Tournament has benefited nonprofits across local communities and the U.S. This year, eight nonprofits received checks totaling $60,000 each from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and Yaamava' Resort & Casino at San Manuel. The checks would go on to support the nonprofits as they continue to work on their impactful missions.

The recipients from the event included Elevate Navajo, Firefighter Cancer Support Network, Growing Inland Achievement, Junior Achievement of Southern California, The Lindy Waters III Foundation, Phenix Gateway, Social Work Action Group, and Southwest Indigenous Women’s Coalition. These eight nonprofits had the chance to receive their checks on the last night of the event with a special honor from those who put this event together. “For 25 years, we’ve hosted this tournament to promote goodwill and brotherhood through golf,” said San Manuel Chairwoman Lynn “Nay” Valbuena. “Their work tends to go unrecognized so tonight we are here to congratulate them and give them a big thank you.”.

With nearly 1,000 participants raising $480,000 over four days, this year’s event surpassed all expectations. The success was fueled by an elite setting and a unique tournament atmosphere.

Golfing is always enjoyable, but Yaamava’ Resort & Casino added extra excitement. During this event participants would have the chance to digest the sounds of waves crashing and a fresh ocean breeze with one day spent at Torrey Pines South Golf Course and two days at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, California. The tournament would feature challenges unlike any other. One that got everyone’s attention was the farthest ball hit away from the hole. Challenges like this introduced opportunities to win big prizes like a brand-new car and much more!

This unique experience offered players the chance to enjoy delicious food and drinks with stunning views of the coast. The festivities continued with live music and contributions from major supporters like Lamar, the Las Vegas Raiders, Michelob Ultra, and others. These well-known names provided additional prizes and gifts with their own special challenges that got everyone to join in.
